Grandfathers….

We all perhaps have had special days on the river or in the field. These may include days just with yourself or with loved ones: friends, spouses, sons and daughters  Or, if you have truly been blessed,  grandfathers.  These times may be ones that happen maybe once a year, or just maybe a few times in your life. Whatever the timing and events, they are special and precious. These have been some of my favorite times in my life.  These are precious days on the river or in the field or blind , or as I like to call them : Flydays. These are ones that I still think about to this day and never will or can forget.  

Here on this site, you will see the first of two parts of what Flydays is. I created a unique logo you see here dedicated to fishing, more specifically fly fishing. The second part coming soon is dedicated to hunting.

I grew up with both of my grandfathers nearby. I would see them almost on a daily basis. One was mainly a hunter. The other, a true and skillful fisherman. They were both about family and spending time outside. They both taught me valuable lessons, not only in life, but ones while on the water or in the field. These lessons for me at an early age carried over to daily life.  Spending time with family, learning the virtue of patience and always respecting and appreciating our environment. These were just some of those lessons.  

So, I came up with an idea to share some drawings and photos that I have collected through the years. I have these printed on shirts and similar products. You at times will see sayings on some of these products that I’ve heard many times in my life- those sayings that I desperately miss to this day.  

Therefore, I hope some of these products will stir up wonderful and loving memories during your times on the water or in the field with loved ones.  

And we all hope that you can spend more time outdoors, especially with someone that you love.  Make these days special times that will always be remembered.  Make them Flydays.
